Mr. Bass was retired from Pennzoil Products Co. after 25 years, and he worked part-time for Kohl’s in Evansville after retirement. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.
He was the husband of Sandra (Winter) Bass of Evansville, IN; son of Vera M. Unverferth of Leipsic, OH and the late Ivor Bass; father of Jeffrey G. Bass of Chicago, IL and Kristin (Jim) Hood of Newburgh, IN; brother of Garland (Susan) Bass of Springfield, OH and the late George Bass; brother-in-law of Jim and Sally (Winter) Jensen of Hamburg; also survived by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
