Mr. Ellis was a 1974 graduate of Little Valley Central School. He then joined the U.S. Airforce were he served from 1974-1980. He had been employed at Carlisle Tire and Wheel in Carlisle, PA.
Mr. Ellis was a member of the Eagle Club and the town pool league in Newville, PA, and the American Legion in Carlisle, PA. He had also volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America.
He was the son of Christel (Basford) Ellis of Cattaraugus and the late Gilbert R. Ellis; father of Jessica Ellis of Vista, CA, and Stacey Ellis of Gowanda; and brother of Gilbert R. (Elaine) Ellis IV, Vincent Ellis, Roger (Colette) Ellis and David (Kim) Ellis, all of Cattaraugus, Joseph (Angela) Ellis of Little Valley, Wallissa (Carl) Dippold of St. Mary’s, PA, Pamela (Sparky) Edwards of Waterford, PA, Melanie (Rick) Horning of Cattaraugus, Valerie (Jeff) Stuckey and Evangeline (Gary) Frentz, both of Little Valley; also survived by 35 nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
