Martha Stelmach
     Martha (Rybicki) Stelmach, 95, of Forestville, died April 16, 2004 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital following a short illness.
     Mrs. Stelmach and her husband co-owned and operated the former Stelmach’s Tavern in Buffalo for five years, where she worked as a cook and did catering. She was a former member and sunshine lady for the Pioneer Social Club, Forestville, and worked hard all her life. She enjoyed knitting and cooking.
     She was the wife of the late Joseph Stelmach; daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Krakowski) Rybicki; mother of Joan (Donald) Papaj of Grand Island, Joseph A. Stelmach of Forestville and William E. (Pauline) Stelmach of Tonawanda; and sister of Dorothy Butryn of Silver Creek and the late Hattie Michalek, Pauline Kyc, Clara Abramowicz, Josephine Bielat, Sophie Drag and Walter Rybicki; also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency & Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville, NY 14062.
     Arrangements were by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
