Allen A. Easterly, 80, a resident of the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk, formerly of South Dayton, died March 24, 2004, Mr. Easterly graduated in 1941 from South Dayton High School. He had worked at the South Dayton Canning Factory, Carnation Milk Plant and Pine Valley Central School. He was also a 35-year employee of the Moench Tanning Company in Gowanda. Mr. Easterly was a member of the Moench Tanning bowling team and enjoyed all sports, especially baseball. He was also a longtime member and trustee of the South Dayton Free Methodist Church. He was the husband of Thelma M. (Bewley) Easterly; son of the late Floyd and Esther (Abbey) Easterly; father of Rick A. Easterly of Rochester and Kevin Easterly of Cherry Creek; and brother of the late Harvey Easterly; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the South Dayton Free Methodist Church. Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton. |
