Richard C. “Casey” Case, 73, of Dunkirk, died March 19, 2004 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Case served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954 and also in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He had been employed by the Supreme Bakery, Dunkirk Lumber Co., Dunkirk Ice Cream as a 35-year truck driver, and the Chautauqua County CARTS system. Mr. Case was a life member of Dunkirk Elks Lodge 922 and also belonged to the First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 59 of Fredonia. An avid Bills fan, he enjoyed gardening. He was the husband of Princess I. (Davidson) Case; son of the late Alfred and Ethel (Christy) Case; father of Ethel Case of Florida, Laura (Dennis) Kszos of Forestville, Richard C. Case II of Lynwood, WA, Einar “Skip” Case and Stephen Case, both of Aurora, CO, and Brian Case of Denver, CO; and brother of Alvin Case of Lockport, Evelyn Ebert of Dunkirk, and the late Everett Case; also survived by nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, Dunkirk. |
