Nicholas A. Restivo Sr.
     Nicholas A. Restivo Sr., 89, of Irving, died March 21, 2004.
     A lifelong area resident, Mr. Restivo served in the U.S. Army in Africa and Europe during World War II and participated in the Tunisian Campaign. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon.
     A retired grape farmer, he owned a family farm in the Town of Hanover for many years.
     Mr. Restivo was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Samuel Cimino VFW Post 6472. Active in hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, he belonged to the Sunset Drifters, Cherry Creek Sno-Go’ers and the Rifle Association. He was also an avid winemaker.
     He was the husband of Catherine (DelBosco) Restivo; son of the late Samuel and Anna (Costanza) Restivo; father of Elaine Lambert of Poughkeepsie, Margaret Barlow of Lafayette, Carol Shomper of Irving, Evelyn Moore of Minneapolis, MI, and Nicholas Restivo Jr. of Irving; and brother of Anthony Restivo of Florida and the late Margaret Pope, Clara Spencer, Rose Restivo, Charles, Joseph and Jake Restivo; also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
     Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel Inc., Silver Creek.
