Mr. Woltz served as a gunner in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was employed as the head cook at the Gowanda Psychiatric Center for many years.
A life member of the Gowanda VFW, Mr. Woltz was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Cygan) Woltz; father of Martin Woltz of South Dayton; and brother of Wanda Woltz and Ann Woltz, both of Gowanda, Jennie Prechtl of Dunkirk, and the late Christine Crofoot; also survived by one granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C. Church or the Gowanda Ambulance Service.
