Henry D. Woltz, 82, of Gowanda, died March 18, 2004 at Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Gowanda. Mr. Woltz served as a gunner in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was employed as the head cook at the Gowanda Psychiatric Center for many years. A life member of the Gowanda VFW, Mr. Woltz was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Cygan) Woltz; father of Martin Woltz of South Dayton; and brother of Wanda Woltz and Ann Woltz, both of Gowanda, Jennie Prechtl of Dunkirk, and the late Christine Crofoot; also survived by one granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C. Church or the Gowanda Ambulance Service. Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Gowanda. |
