He earned a degree from Alfred State University and shortly after was employed by IBM, where he worked for 38 years.
Mr. Peters was an avid gardener and enjoyed gourmet cooking. He took pride in building many pieces of furniture for his home. During his retirement, he traveled with his family.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie C. Peters; father of Barry F. Peters, Jeffrey C. Peters, Dale M. Peters, and Suzanne M. Peters; and brother of Clarence Peters, Allen Peters, and the late Henrietta Steele and Ralph Peters; also survived by seven grandchildren.
