Albert L. Arnold, 88, of Perrysburg, died Feb. 29, 2004 at the Gowanda Nursing Home. Mr. Arnold retired from American Wire & Tie, formerly in Collins, as a machinist after 43 years, working from 1936 to 1979. He was a life member and exempt fireman from the Perrysburg Fire Department. He was also a member of the Gowanda Moose Lodge No. 1382 and the Perrysburg-Dayton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music and the banjo. He was the husband of Anna (Keppel) Arnold; son of the late Fred and Frances (Fuller) Arnold; father of Richard (Linda) Arnold of Gowanda, Jean (Gerald) Brown of Springville and Carol (Sonny) Howard of South Dayton; and brother of Lester Arnold of Gowanda, Lenora VanWey of Dunkirk, and the late Nyda Gabel; also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Perrysburg Fire Department. Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Gowanda. |
