Mrs. Memmott graduated from Elmira College and was a teacher at the Little Valley High School from 1936-1939. She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church in Little Valley and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Salamanca Hospital Auxiliary and the Athena Guild.
She was the wife of the late Arthur Memmott; daughter of the late Edmund and Elizabeth (Cohan) Pickley; mother of Edmund A. (Theresa) Memmott of Olean, A. James (Cindy Schmitt) Memmott of Geneseo, John (Nicola) Memmott of Oberlin, OH, Mark (Carol) Memmott of Chantilly, VA, Elizabeth C. (Thomas H.) Cowley of Gaithersburg, MD, and Martha Memmott of Rochester; also survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Little Valley Memorial Library or St. Mary's RC Church.
