Robert J. Fuchs, 57, of Leon, died Feb. 21, 2004. Mr. Fuchs served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the City of Buffalo as superintendent of signs and pavement markings, he worked for the Town of Leon Highway Department. He was a member of the Leon Fire Department and currently was fire chief at the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting and was a gun collector. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Yandricha) Fuchs of Conewango Valley; son of the late Rudolph and Sophie (Dzielski) Fuchs; father of Eric R. Fuchs of Buffalo, Nicholas (Bobbie Jo) Fuchs of Leon, Matthew T. Fuchs of Leon and Melissa J. Fuchs of Buffalo; and brother of Gerald R. Fuchs of Buffalo and the late Julie Ann Fuchs; also survived by one grandson. Memorials may be made to the Leon Fire Department. Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton. |
