Mr. Armstrong had been employed as a unionized construction worker. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Irving and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Fire Department. Mr. Armstrong was an avid sports fan.
He was the husband of the late Alice Snyder; son of the late Ely and Kathryn (Silverheels) Armstrong; father of Janice Martinez, Joan Armstrong and Karen Armstrong; and brother of the late Lois John, Daphne Armstrong and Norma Stevens; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one niece.
Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel Inc., Silver Creek.
