Sister Mary Voncina, O.S.F.

Sister Mary Voncina, O.S.F., 91, of Lower River Road, died Feb. 2, 2004 in the Sister of St. Francis Health Center at Stella Niagara.      Mary Agnes Voncina entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity at Stella Niagara in 1944 and was professed in 1946.      Sister Mary spent many of her years at Stella Niagara (1946-1978, 1980-1987) where she was in charge of the Housekeeping Department. She also worked at St. Ann's Hospital, Columbus, OH from 1974 to 1980. Sister Mary did Pastoral Care work at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston from 1970-1974. She retired at Stella Niagara in 1987.      She was the daughter of the late Martin and Frances (Bezelzak) Voncina; and sister of John and Charles Voncina, both of Gowanda, and the late Rose, Jennie, Anna, Agnes, Martin and Albert; also survived by many nieces and nephews.      Memorials may be made to the Stella Niagara Health Center, 4421 Lower River Road, Stella Niagara, NY 14144.      Arrangements were by the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc.
