Carl A. Grover, 78, of Little Valley, died Feb. 7, 2004. Mr. Grover had worked a dairy farm in Blockville, and as a machinist at Marlin Rockwell in Jamestown, and as a foreman at Norquist Products, also in Jamestown. He was also employed at Metallic Ladder and Foundry in Randolph, True Temper in Ashtabula, OH, and with the Cattaraugus County Highway Department for 15 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Grover was a social member of the Randolph VFW #6533. He loved playing the tenor banjo and piano and was an avid gardener. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (McKay) Grover; son of the late Claude and Louella (Prosser) Grover; father of Ed (Dorothy) Grover of Steamburg, NY and Leeroy (Nancy) Grover of East Randolph; and brother of the late Clinton and Edgar Grover; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Little Valley Ambulance Service. Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Little Valley. |
