Mr. Morse retired from the Fredonia Police Department in 1983. A volunteer firefighter in Fredonia for many years, he was active with the Fredonia American Legion and the Fredonia Baptist Church.
He had been a resident of Venice for 21 years. A member of United Church of Christ in Venice, during his retirement years he loved riding his motorcycle and belonged to the South County Road Riders of Venice.
He was the husband of M. Juanita Morse; son of the late Clarence P. and Myrtle Morse; father of James W. Morse of Bradenton, FL and David L. Morse of Greenville, NH; and brother of Richard Morse of Forestville, and the late Betty Schuwerk; also survived by three grandchildren and two nieces.
