Mr. Lawton had resided in Friendship until 1985 at which time he moved to Gowanda. He graduated from Gowanda Central School and for many years was an assembler for THASC in Gowanda.
Mr. Lawton attended the Friendship Bible Baptist Church and belonged to a bowling league in Gowanda.
He was the son of Leonard W. and Beverly H. (Lanager) Lawton; brother of Gerald W. Lawton of Friendship, Karen K. (Herby) Sewar of Knowlesville, Nancy L. (Frank) Langan of Coudersport, PA, and the late Maryanne Lanager; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
