Mary E. Laemmerhirt
     Mary E. (Mccoy) Laemmerhirt, 87, a resident of the Waters of Dunkirk, formerly of Lockport and Forestville, died Jan. 3, 2004 in her residence.
     A special education teacher who worked for the LoGuidice Center (BOCES) In Fredonia, she retired in 1981 after 15 years of service. She was a graduate of Lockport High School and Buffalo State.
     For many years, Mrs. Laemmerhirt and her husband owned and operated a dairy and beef farm on Straight Road in Forestville.
     She was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Forestville. She also enjoyed ceramics and knitting.
     She was the wife of the late Ernest P. Laemmerhirt Sr.; daughter of the late Roy and Ada (Prime) McCoy; mother of Richard E. Laemmerhirt of Dunkirk, Ernest P. Laemmerhirt Jr. of Farnham, Donald F. Laemmerhirt of Danbury, CT, Roy J. Laemmerhirt of North East, PA, Grace E. (Larry) Comstock of Rochester, Jean I. (Richard) Chudzik of Hamburg, Joan A. (Jerry) Gabel of Silver Creek, Ada D. (Robert) Fisher of Perrysburg, and the late Mary Anne Laemmerhirt, Virginia Laemmerhirt and Joseph Laemmerhirt; and sister of the late Albert I. McCoy and Virginia Shaw; also survived by 27 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency and Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville, NY 14062.
     Arrangements were by the Riles and Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
