Lois Emogene Hickox
     Lois Emogene (Kysor) Hickox, 97, of South Dayton, died Dec. 27, 2003 at the Elderwood Health Care of Lakewood Nursing Home in Hamburg.
     Mrs. Hickox was a past member of the South Dayton United Methodist Church and the WCTU. She lived in South Dayton most of her adult life. She spent some time in Frewsburg and also in Jamestown before going to Hamburg. She was a teacher in many of the rural schools.
     She was the wife of the late James B. Hickox; daughter of the late Lewis and Catherine (Dye) Kysor; mother of William Hickox of Randolph, Marilyn Leininger of Buffalo, and Marjorie Mitchell of Mount Holly, NC; and sister of Marion Hodges of Sarasota, FL, and the late Frank Kysor; also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, Gowanda.
