John E. Howard

John E. Howard, 68, of Little Valley, formerly of Gowanda, died Dec. 23, 2003.      Mr. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the Korean Occupation Forces and in Missile Defense. He was employed as plant manager for Knowles Fisher AVM, Little Valley and Gowanda. Later he was employed at Merow's Hardware and Vail's Hardware, Little Valley.      Mr. Howard was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.      He was the brother of Ruth Waite of Pittsburgh, PA, Frank Howard of Gowanda, and the late George Howard; also survived by his adopted family, Larry, Cheri, Michelle, Jeremy, Jennifer and Zackary Stewart, and several nieces and nephews.      Arrangements were by the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, Salamanca.
