Mr. Martin retired from the Moench Tanning Co. in Gowanda after 33 years. He was a member of the Gowanda Exempt Firemen's Association and former member of the Aerial Ladder Co. of the Gowanda Fire Department for more than 30 years. He also belonged to the Gowanda Moose Lodge 382 and volunteered his time after his retirement working with ECHO (Meals on Wheels program) in Gowanda for many years.
He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Saxton) Martin; son of the late Tilio and Hannah (Adams) Martino; father of James Martin of Gowanda, Ronald Martin of Orchard Park and Connie Martin of Albany; and brother of Charles Martino of Florida, Olladene Martin, Susan Martin, Constance Verity, Jesse Salseni, Josephine Brewer, Theresa Terranova and Mary Ann Drew, all of Lockport, and the late George Martin and Rose Marie Johnson; also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging or Gowanda Fire Department.
