Linda F. (Studd) Stankey, 56, of Leon, died Oct. 25, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Stankey attended Cattaraugus Central School. She was employed by the Pine Valley Central School District as a teacher's aide and had previously owned and operated Magic Mirror Beauty Salon in Leon for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Otto Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Randolph American Legion Unit 181 Auxiliary and the Leon Fire Department Auxiliary. Mrs. Stankey enjoyed bowling, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles with her husband and snowmobiling. She was the wife of Randy D. Stankey; daughter of the late Albert L. and Eleanor M. (Emke) Studd; mother of Kimberly Stankey and Melissa Stankey, both of Rochester; and sister of Douglas Studd of Leland, NC, Barbara Opferbeck of Cattaraugus, and the late Patricia Musall. Memorials may be made to the Leon Fire Department Auxiliary or the Randolph American Legion Unit 181 Auxiliary. Arrangements were by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. |
