Mrs. Bennett was raised on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation and was a member of the Seneca Nation Turtle Clan. She was well known in the community.
Mrs. Bennett was a saleswoman for Avon for over 25 years. She was a lifelong member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. A champion bowler, she enjoyed gardening and bingo.
She was the wife of the late William Bennett; daughter of the late Lee and Laura (Patterson) Tallchief; and mother of the late Laurel Babe Nephew; also survived by three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and six great-great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
