Robert L. Youngberg
     Robert L. Youngberg, 76, of Cheektowaga, formerly of Gowanda, died Oct. 12, 2003 after a short illness.
     Born in Ludlow, PA, he moved to Gowanda as a child. He attended Gowanda Central Schools and served in the Army during World War II. He later attended watchmaking school in Chicago and practiced the craft for many years.
     Mr. Youngberg worked as an installer-repairman for New York Telephone for 34 years until his retirement in 1986.
     He was a member of Gowanda United Church of Christ, Post 5007 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Loyal Order of Moose, the Slovenian Club, the Gowanda Country Club, and the Telephone Pioneer Club. He was also a past president of Local 15, Communications Workers of America.
     He was the husband of Ruth (McNiff) Youngberg; father of Amy Juzdowski of West Seneca and Jack Youngberg of Lockport; and brother of Betty McElravy of Brooksville, FL, Jean Hewitt of Gowanda, and Larry Youngberg of Forestville; also survived by three grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Barron-Miller Funeral Home, Cheektowaga.
