Charles Colvin
     Charles H. Colvin, 63, of Stow, formerly of Cherry Creek, died Oct. 20, 2003 at Heritage Green Health Care in Greenhurst.
     Mr. Colvin graduated from Pine Valley Central School in 1958 and then attended SUNY at Alfred and the Hartford Insurance School in Hartford, CT. He went to work for the Lapham Insurance Agency, then C.A. Pritchard Keystone in Cherry Creek. This led to the proprietorship of Colvin Keystone Service for 36 years. During most of this time and until his death, he owned and operated C.H. Colvin Inc. Trucking. Mr. Colvin was a life member of the Cherry Creek Volunteer Firemen's Department.
     He also was a member of the Jamestown Loyal Order of Moose, Southern Tier Chevy Club, Chautauqua Cruisers, Cherry Creek Masonic Lodge 384, Jamestown Consistory 32nd Degree Mason, Jamestown Shrine Club, Gowanda Shrine Club No. 1, Ismailia Shrine Club, Jamestown Vikings Lodge 65 IOV, Jamestown T. Hule Lodge, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and Villenova Grange 64.
     He was the husband of Norma C. (Hubbard) Colvin; son of Faye (Johnson) Colvin of Bemus Point and the late Herbert Glen Colvin; stepson of Paul Colvin; father of Michelle R. Foster of Bradenton, FL, and the late Lance G. Colvin; and brother of Brenda Colvin Haase of Wappeningers Falls and Gwen Larson of Bemus Point; also survived by three grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to the Lance G. Colvin Memorial Scholarship Fund - CRCF, 418 Spring St., Jamestown, NY 14701 (PVCS Scholarship Fund).
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton.
