Mr. Valentine built and owned the Texaco Station and later Valentine's Restaurant in Gowanda before moving to Lake Havasu City in 1970. He retired from the Lake Havasu City Water Department in 1981.
He was the husband of Josephine (Andolsek) Valentine; son of the late Joseph Sr. and Margaret Valentine; father of Robert (Marlene) Valentine of Collins Center and Karen V. (David) Norcross of Syracuse; and brother of Margaret (Lewis) Chilton, Anna (Anthony) Marsala and Irene Gerwitz, all of Buffalo; also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
