Mr. Silsby was a retired operator for the former Curtiss Burnes Canning Factory in South Dayton. He was an accomplished mechanic and enjoyed working on tractors.
He was the husband of Linda J. Woodcock; son of the late George and Jennie Silsby; father of Marilyn Brainard of Bemus Point, Arlene Smith of Cherry Creek, and Jamie Silsby of New Jersey; and stepfather of William Woodcock of Syracuse, Bonnie Prince and Tammy Waters of Lake Wales, FL; also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and seven step-granddaughters.
Arrangements were by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph.
