Kenneth P. Kysor, 89, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of Cattaraugus, died Sept. 14, 2003. Mr. Kysor was a dairy farmer for many years. He also worked construction and had been employed at TODCO in Cattaraugus. He was the Village of Cattaraugus historian as well as the Cattaraugus County historian for more than 20 years. In 1999, Mr. Kysor graduated from Fredonia State University College and authored many books. He was a member of the Roberts Memorial Free Methodist Church in Cattaraugus, where he was a longtime Sunday School teacher, and the Lions Club of Little Valley. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also had been adopted into the Sons of the Revolution. He was the husband of the late Lois (Wing) Kysor; son of the late Gilbert and Mabel (Holtz) Kysor; father of Susan Filegar of Jamestown and Shirley (George) Altoft of Fairfax, VA; and sister of the late Miriam Hartig; also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Roberts Memorial Free Methodist Church or Roberts Wesleyan College. Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Little Valley. |
