Carl I. VanCuren, 82, of Silver Creek, died unexpectedly Sept. 14, 2003. Mr. VanCuren served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a quality control inspector for the Ford Motor Company in Woodlawn. He was a member of UAW Local 897 and the Woodcarvers Association. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and flea markets. He was the husband of Erva (Griffis) VanCuren; son of the late James and Mabel (Wolfe) VanCuren; father of Carl VanCuren of Niagara Falls, Harry VanCuren of Silver Creek, Roy VanCuren and Melvin VanCuren, both of Florida, Marvin VanCuren of Pennsylvania and Cheryl Hallmark of Virginia; and brother of Ruth Soliday and Clarabell VanCuren, both of Lancaster, OH, and the late Lawrence VanCuren; also survived by 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek. |
