Janet Elliott
     Janet B. (Welka) Elliott, 80, of Silver Creek, died Sept. 2, 2003 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk after a brief illness.
     Mrs. Ellliott was a homemaker and she also worked with her husband at the Elliott Jewelry Store in Silver Creek where she was a bookkeeper.
     She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and baking at St. Columban's on the Lake in Silver Creek where she was a volunteer for the last 10 years.
     Mrs. Elliott was a 50-year member of the First United Church of Silver Creek. She was also a member of the AARP, the Mount Carmel Seniors of Silver Creek and the Sheridan Happy Seniors.
     She was the wife of the late Richard Elliott; daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Baker) Welka; mother of Clark Elliott of Niagara Falls, Sue (John) MacKenna of Grand Island, Denise (Ricky) Elliott Smith of Villa Rica, GA, Sally (Brian) Hubbard of South Dayton, Lori (Randy) Williamson of Bowdon, GA, and the late Barbara Elliott Peacock; and sister of Mary McGan of Dunkirk; also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
