Mr. Peters retired as an electrician for Bennett Manufacturing Company in Alden. He was also a lineman for the IBEW Local. In addition, he had been employed by the former Peter Cooper Corporation, Gowanda Electric and the Gowanda Central School System, where he worked in maintenance and as school bus driver, retiring in 1974.
Mr. Peters was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Gowanda. He also belonged to the Clinton F. Paige Berean Masonic Lodge F&AM of Otto , the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department and the NRA.
He was the husband of the late Jeanette (Frank) Peters and the late Arlie (Hetcel) Peters; son of the late Carl and Bertha (Neiman) Peters; father of Jacqueline Oesterly and Sandra (Larry) Carr, both of Rowland Heights, CA, and the late Michael Peters; and brother of the late Carl Peters Jr., William Peters, Emma Anderson and Ella Underwood; also survived by four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department.
