Bertha Mae Milspaw
     Bertha Mae (Milliman) Milspaw, 94, of Leon, died Aug. 18, 2003.
     Mrs. Milspaw had worked as a nutrition aide for Cornell Co-Op Extension until her retirement in 1983.
     She was active in the Leon Methodist Church and was also a member of the Eastern Stars - Golden Chapter 252 in Cherry Creek and the Lions Club.
     Mrs. Milspaw was instrumental in starting the Leon Historical Society and served as Town of Leon historian for more than 25 years.
     She was the wife of the late Carl N. Harvey and the late Irwin W. Milspaw; daughter of the late Lewis H. and Etta P. (Peters) Milliman; mother of Velma H. Milks of Cherry Creek and the late Joyce H. Walsh; and sister of Louise Hamilton of Gowanda and the late Lulu Milliman, Harlow, Harry, John, George and Howard Milliman; also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
     Memorials may be made to the Leon Historical Society, Box 133, Leon, NY 14751.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton.
