Mrs. Ivett graduated from the South Dayton High School and received her teaching degree at Fredonia Normal.
She taught in one-room schools in Napoli, and in the Town of Villenova Schools for 10 years. She was a member of the Hamlet United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School and belonged to the Women's Christian Society (WCS). She was also a member of the Villenova Grange #604, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and secretary/treasurer for the Villenova Cemetery Association.
She was the wife of the late Robert Ivett; daughter of the late Clarence and Julia (Wheelock) Park; mother of Donald (Jeanette) Ivett and David (Susan) Ivett, both of Forvstville, Douglas (Linda) Ivett of South Dayton and the late Russell Ivett; and sister of the late Warren Park, Dime Jones and Helen Danker; also survived by eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Hamlet United Methodist Church or the South Dayton Fire Department.
