Penfield Dayton III

Penfield Lewis Dayton III, 64, of Yorktown, VA, formerly of South Dayton, died Aug. 1, 2003.      Mr. Dayton was employed as a manufacturing engineer with Honeywell Aerospace, retiring after 40 years of service. After moving to Yorktown, he partnered with his son, opening Hobbytown USA franchises in Virginia Beach and Newport News.      He was the husband of Sandra (Sievert) Dayton; father of Scott Dayton of Yorktown and Dr. Paul Dayton of Fort Dodge, IA; and brother of Barbara Dayton Wall of New York; also survived by five grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.      Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 895 Middle Ground Blvd., Suite 154, Newport News, VA 23606.      Arrangements were by the Amory Funeral Home Chapel, Grafton, VA.
