Mary Tatchell

Mary (Howard) Tatchell, 89, a resident of the Gowanda Nursing Home and formerly of South Dayton, died Aug. 2, 2003 following a lengthy illness.      Mrs. Tatchell was a graduate of the former Cherry Creek High School and had attended the Hamlet United Methodist Church. She had worked as a layout designer for the former Valley Pennysaver of Randolph.      She was the wife of the late Allen H. Tatchell; daughter of the late Jesse and Edith (Dorwin) Howard; mother of Alvin Tatchell and Douglas Tatchell, both of Forestville, Barbara Dorman of Jamestown and Donna Brittain of Gowanda; foster mother of Clarabelle Gens of Fredonia and Loretta Milliman of Jamestown; and sister of the late George Howard, Lawrence Howard, Genevieve McCoy and Marjorie Ulrich; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.      Memorials may be made to the South Dayton Fire Department Emergency & Rescue Squad.      Arrangements were by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
