Marilyn Bauerlein

Marilyn A. (Kurtzworth) Bauerlein, 44, of Springville, died Aug. 4, 2003 at the Center for Hospice in Cheektowaga after a courageous 5-1/2 year battle with cancer.      After graduating from North Collins High School, she attended Fredonia State University, earning her bachelor's degree in education. She went on to get her master's degree at Fredonia.      Ms. Bauerlein taught at Immaculate Conception School in Eden from 1988 to 1989. She was hired at North Collins Elementary School where she taught second and sixth grades, miraculously finishing this past school year. Teaching was her passion and she loved the children that passed through her classroom.      She was the daughter of Bernice (Demske) Kurtzworth and the late Leo Kurtzworth; mother of Erik, Leo, Lucas and Jared Bauerlein; and sister of Frank (Mary Lou) Bodekor, Fred Bodekor, Martha (Clifford) Stone, Leo Kurtzworth, Mike (Merry Ann) Kurtzworth, Robin Kurtzworth and Joe (Judy) Kurtzworth; also survived by many nieces and nephews.      Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of the Bauerlein Children, c/o Community Bank, PO Box 489, North Collins, NY.      Arrangements were by the Wentland Funeral Home, North Collins.
