Helen Charewicz
     Helen (Maciag) Charewicz, 83, of Forestville, died Aug. 4, 2003 at the Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
     A survivor of the World War II Holocaust, Mrs. Charewicz moved to this area from Venezuela in 1958. Together with her husband, she owned and operated a grape farm on Route 39 in Forestville.
     She enjoyed baking, crocheting and knitting.
     She was the wife of the late Leonard Charewicz; daughter of the late Mikolaj and Karolina (Kuciapa) Maciag; mother of Joanna (Vincent) Troy of Plymouth, MI, Wanda (Kenneth) Hardy of Forestville, and Tadeusz "Ted" Charewicz of Los Angeles, CA; and sister of Jozef Maciag of Poland, and the late Stanley and Adam Maciag; also survived by three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency and Rescue Squad.
     Arrangements were by the Riles and Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
