Ray Kron

Ray J. Kron, 42, of Eden, died suddenly July 20, 2003 in Erie County Medical Center.      A Gowanda native, Mr. Kron graduated from North Collins Central High School in 1979 and from Erie Community College in 1981.      He lived in Eden and was vice president of SJB Services in Hamburg. He was a member of Langford-New Oregon Volunteer Fire Department and played softball in various leagues in North Collins and Hamburg.      Mr. Kron also was a board member of the American Concrete Institute, Western New York chapter, and the New York State Construction Material and Construction Exchange.      He was the husband of Cheryl (Haier) Kron; father of Melissa and Jacob; and brother of Frank (Tina) Kron Jr. and Richard P. (Phyllis) Kron, both of New Oregon, Ellen M. (Jeff) Mathis of North Collins and Peggy Sue (Donald) Piatek of Springville.      Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of the children of Cheryl Kron, c/o Community Bank, 10490 Main St., P.O. Box 489, North Collins, NY 14111.      Arrangements were by the Wentland Funeral Home, North Collins.
