Herbert Lux Sr.

Herbert W. Lux Sr.,81, of South Dayton, died July 3, 2003.      Mr. Lux was a retired heavy equipment operator for Imternational Union of Engineers Local 17B, where he worked for 40 years.      He was an associate member of South Dayton American Legion Post 1593.      He was the son of the late Marcus and Mildred (Eddington) Lux; father of Joseph Decker of Florida, Gail Lux of Virginia, Herbert Lux Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Lux of Arizona, Jerry Bromley of Niobe, Ruth Lux of Springville, Jane Crump of Machias, and Dorothy Frentz of Cattaraugus; and brother of Maurice Lux of Springville, Albert Lux of Georgia, Clyde Lux of Glenwood, Arthur Lux of West Valley, Marcus Lux Jr. of Boston, Martha Case of Ithaca, Maxine Linden of Orange County, Pauline Zielinski of Springville, Florence Rotherberg of Colden, and the late Edna Blakely, Lhressa Lux, Doris Ivon, Harold, Frank, Floyd, Gordon and Nicholas Lux; also survived by 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.      Memorials may be made to the Leon Firemen's Ambulance Fund.      Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton.
