Countdown to the Millennium
On January 25, 1999, the Gowanda Penny Saver began running a series called "Countdown to the Millennium". The series takes a year by year look back at where Gowanda has been in preparation for what the future may hold. This section of the GowandaOnline site has been set aside to archive this series. Over the next several weeks, hopefully, this section will become up the date with the installments already published. After that time, installments will be added as they appear in the Penny Saver from week to week through the end of 1999.         The dates listed below indicate the year, starting with 1949, covered in that installment of the series.
