•  Dalton J. Smeal, 16, of South Dayton, was charged Sept. 5 with unlawful possession of marijuana, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and five counts of petit larceny following a week-long investigation into numerous larcenies from vehicles on Aug. 29.

     Smeal was arraigned and sent to Little Valley Jail.

     In addition, a 14-year-old juvenile was also arrested in connection with the investigation and will face charges.
