New royalty for Seneca Fall Festival

    On Sept. 10, the Seneca Fall Festival culminated four weeks of preparation with the crowning of the new festival princesses.
    The new senior princess is Leiondie Cornfield, a 16-year-old and a member of the Wolf Clan. She attends Lake Shore High School in Angola and is in the 10th grade. Cornfield resides in Lawtons with her aunt and uncle, Tate and Cheryl Curry. Some of her favorite things to do include dancing, playing lacrosse and drawing.
    The new junior princess is Sosha Garlow, 8 years old and a member of the Beaver Clan. She attends Brant One School and is in the third grade. Garlow resides in Irving with her parents, Heath and Cheri Garlow. Some of her favorite things to do include shopping, playing soccer and learning about her culture.
    The new princesses will travel throughout the U.S. and Canada representing the fall festival for one year.
    They will perform at various parades, lectures, dance presentations and cultural events. Their first parade was Sept. 17 at the Grape Festival in Silver Creek. Their first dance performance was Sept. 24 at Darien Lake for the International Festival.
    The new royalty looks forward to a busy year.
