On Thursday, Aug. 14, Gowanda Recreation will be attending Fantasy Island. The bus will leave from St. John Park at 9:30 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.

     On the final day, Aug. 15, the Annual Talent Show and Awards Ceremony will be held in the Middle School gymnasium beginning at 12:30 p.m. There will also be several other fun contests before the Talent Show gets under way.

     The Co-ed Fall Soccer program will commence on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. at the Thatcher Brook Field, located behind the AVM Building on Torrance Place. Basic Instruction and skills will be taught each week followed by intramural games.

     The program will move to Monday nights for the following five weeks beginning Sept. 15.

     Coaches are needed to assist with this activity. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have good knowledge of the game. Applications can be picked up at the Village Office at 27 East Main St. during normal business hours. The application deadline is Aug. 22.
