Elvis in Irving - A musical celebration with “Elvis” was held at TLC Health Network’s Lake Shore Nursing Home in the Emerald Dining Room on Feb. 10. New Era Cap and the CWA Local 14177 Community Affairs Group sponsored the Elvis event for the residents of the Lake Shore Nursing Home as a result of ”Christmas in the Community,” where funds were collected during the holidays by holding weekly 50/50 raffles that employees participated in. In place of purchasing individual gifts, the employees of New Era Cap (Derby) decided to sponsor an evening of entertainment for the nursing home residents. Elvis, performed by Marc Cole, sang songs Elvis Presley-style and wore replica costumes. Cole’s voice brought back many memories to the residents.
