Gowanda Women of the Moose hold fund-raiser

On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Gowanda Women of the Moose held an open-to-the-public fund-raiser, “Red Shirt/Red Dress” for Heart Health Awareness and Heart Healthy Luncheon, to benefit Tri-County Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab Center and the hospital’s Emergency Room.

Participants for the event were Gowanda Pharmacy, Tri-County Physical Therapy, Tri-County Cardiac Rehab, Gowanda Ambulance Service, and Laura Lee Sprague gave a talk on Heart Health Awareness.

Exercise equipment was available for use by participants as well as many freebees and giveaways.

Winners included: Irene Burzak, exercise ball; and Vivian Wulf, handmade Easter basket and eggs.

The winner of the 50/50 drawing donated the money back to the hospital. (Cookbooklets are still available at Gowanda Pharmacy, Tri-County Physical Therapy and Cardiac Rehab for a donation to the hospital’s Cardiac Rehab or Emergency Room.)

The group raised $177 through this event.
