Harley raffle supports theater restoration
All new for 2006, Harley-Davidson designed the Street Bob to be a bare-knuckled “bobbed” motorcycle straight from the post-World War II era. Minimalist styling and features are complemented by subtle ghost-white comedy and tragedy masks airbrushed on the gloss black fuel tank. “Once again, we thank Carl Cain at Hog-N-Air in Fredonia for designing the paint theme on this year’s motorcycle,” says Harley Happening Event Coordinator Randy Rosen. The Harley Happening Street Bob motorcycle is on display at Gowanda Harley-Davidson, 2535 Gowanda Zoar Rd., Gowanda. The motorcycle will be given away as the grand prize of the Harley Happening at the Hollywood. To be eligible to win, donations can be made to Gowanda’s Historic Hollywood Theater. Tickets are $10 apiece or three for $25. Plus, included with the grand prize, Ride with Pride will donate a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Beginning Rider Course program to teach the winner how to ride. In addition, a first-place drawing for $1,000, second-place drawing for $500 and third-place drawing for $250 will be awarded. Tickets can be purchased at many Gowanda-area retailers, including Gowanda Harley-Davidson. The Harley Happening at the Hollywood is presented by Gowanda’s Historic Hollywood Theater to raise funds and awareness toward its restoration. Established in 1999, the Harley Happening has helped make possible a total roof replacement, asbestos removal and facade enhancement. For more information, or to volunteer, contact the Hollywood Theater at 532-6103 or www.hollywoodtheater.info.
