Collins youths travel to Fredonia
On Jan. 21, children who attend the Collins Youth Community Center took part in their first field trip of the year. The field trip was one of at least three trips to the Fredonia State College ice rink.
Many other trips will be offered throughout the remainder of the programs, some of which consist of a Buffalo Bandits lacrosse game, bowling, a Canisius College basketball game, and culminating with a Buffalo Sabres game in March.
The Collins Recreation Youth program welcomes residents and their guests to come join a new, fun place to be on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests must accompany a Town of Collins Youth participant and pay a small fee of 50 cents.
The location of the program is the L.K. Painter Community Center in Collins. Times include: Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for children ages 12 and under and 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. for youths ages 13-18. Hours are extended on Saturdays, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children 12 and under and 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. for 13-18-year-olds.
