Collins Center Volunteer Fire Company Installation
On Jan. 21, a crowd gathered at the Collins Center Fire Hall to enjoy dinner, dancing, socializing and, most importantly, installation of officers and special recognition of company members.
Supreme Court Justice Fred Marshall did the honors once again, installing the officers at the event that was emceed by WYRK on-air personality Clay Moden.
In addition to the installation ceremony, Top 10 responders were also recognized, as were those firefighters who have dedicated milestone years of service to the company.
Top 10 responders, and the number of calls, are as follows: Wayne Finch (70), Mike Finch (69), Rick Simmons (67), Mark Halloran (65), Jeff Schneider (64), Paul ”Digger” Gernatt (61), Andy Husul (53), Dawn Finch and Terry Wypij (51 each), Carrie Studley (43), and Ron Lillie (42).
Service awards were presented to Jessica Moritz (five years), Dawn Finch and Kathy Glenn (10 years each), Mike Finch (15 years), Dave Gamel and Tom Ruda (25 years each), Dave Lawton (40 years) and Bill Grimm (45 years).
 Ladies Auxiliary - Taking the oath, with Judge Marshall presiding, are Treasurer Stephanie Cieszynski, Vice President Cindy Lillie and President Deb Moritz. Missing from photo is Secretary Paula Smith.

 Fireman of the Year - Jeff Schneider is awarded Fireman of the Year for the company.
