With a great deal of creativity and effort, the United States Postal Service creates new stamps throughout the year that represent American life in all its diversity. In September, the Postal Service issued a stamp called “Child Health.” The new stamp represents the overall theme of “Caring for Our Future.”

“As I read the background of the new stamp, I thought about the Alliance and all its activities and programs,” said Collins Postmaster Debi DiBlasi.

And so, on Sept. 30, retired Collins Postmaster Joe Metzger joined current Postmaster DiBlasi in presenting a framed stamp pane of Child Health along with a stamp enlargement suitable for display.

The recognition is for the Alliance’s diabetes education and outreach activities including Fit & Fun©, enrollment assistance for Child Health Plus and Family Health Plus, childhood asthma education and outreach; and youth mental health and suicide prevention programs.
