Andolsek seeks
third term as justice
Arnold N. Andolsek, a Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidate, is seeking re-election to a third term as Persia town justice.
Andolsek is a 29-year veteran of the Gowanda Police Department and graduate of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Academy, during which time he attended numerous police-related schools and seminars.
A lifelong resident of Gowanda, Andolsek is a 1993 retiree of the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center. He was honored as the Outstanding Safety Officer II in 1987 and 1988 and was named in January 1991 Employee of the Month.
Andolsek is a military veteran, having served four years in the United States Air Force. He is an active 47-year member of Hidi Hose Co. No. 4 and past fire chief of the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department. He is a member of the Gowanda Ambulance Board of Directors and is a certified notary public.
Life memberships include Southwestern Volunteer Firemen’s Association; Western New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association, where he received the 1999 Fire Service Award; Slovenian Club; GowandaVFW Post 5007; and Gowanda American Legion Post 409. He is a member of the Gowanda Moose Lodge 1382, Gowanda Rifle Club, New York State Fire Chiefs Association, past member and chairman of the Cattaraugus County Fire Advisory Board, past member and EMT of the Gowanda Ambulance Squad, Cattaraugus County Magistrates Association and the New York State Magistrates Association.
Andolsek attends Continuing Judicial Education programs set forth by the State of New York Unified Court System, Office of Court Administration. He has attended Advanced Judicial Education courses.
Town Justice Andolsek resides in Gowanda with his wife, Joanne. They are the parents of three grown children and grandparents of six.
