Bowers running for supervisor

     Paul Bowers announces he is a candidate for the position of Town of Persia supervisor.

     Bowers was born in Gowanda, in the Persia township, and raised on a farm on Persia Road. He is a 1961 Gowanda Central School graduate.

     Bowers has worked for the Town of Persia Highway Department in the capacities of truck driver, equipment operator and laborer. He also worked for Moench Tanning and retired from New York State employment after 31 years of service as a therapy aide and then as safety officer at J.N. Adam DDSO.

     Following his state retirement, Bowers has been employed part time as a state-certified building inspector for the Village of Gowanda and the Town of Persia.

     Additionally, Bowers retired from the Village of Gowanda Police Department, where he served for 20 years as a part-time police officer.

     Bowers is a member of the Gowanda Moose Club, a 29-year member of the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department and a 26-year member of Gowanda Ambulance Service.

     Bowers lives on Broadway Road with his wife, Nancy.
